HIV-TEST

The "HIV Test" application has been developed by the prominent patient organization in Ukraine, known as "100% Life," with the aim of enhancing the efficacy of HIV testing. Through practical experience, it has been observed that certain behavioral factors can significantly impact the chances of detection. To address this, a comprehensive questionnaire has been devised to assist individuals in assessing the level of risk associated with their behavior regarding HIV transmission. As a result of integrating this questionnaire, the effectiveness of detection programs has shown a notable increase from 4% to 19%.

How does the application operate? Users are prompted to respond to three sets of questions focusing on topics such as sexual activities, exposure to blood, and common symptoms. Based on these responses, an algorithm calculates the likelihood of potential HIV infection as a percentage. It is important to note that the application does not provide diagnostic services. The accuracy of the calculated probability is contingent on the honesty of user responses and should not be considered definitive. For a precise assessment, physical testing at designated facilities or self-testing using certified kits is recommended.

Furthermore, the application features a map highlighting HIV testing centers. With geolocation enabled, users can easily locate the nearest testing facility for their convenience.

Respecting user privacy, the application does not collect personal data. Any statistics gathered, such as country of origin, gender information or questionnaire responses, are anonymized to ensure confidentiality and protect user identities.
